Dr. Carlos Flores – Mir

Meet Dr. Carlos Flores Mir. With over 20 years of smiles under his belt in Edmonton, Dr. Carlos Flores Mir brings a global perspective to local orthodontic care. Originally from Peru, Carlos moved to Canada in 2002 to pursue advanced studies at the University of Alberta—and he liked it so much he never left!
When he isn’t shaping smiles at City Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, he’s likely shaping the next generation of specialists as a full-time professor at the U of A. After 15 years as the Graduate Orthodontic Program Director, he participates in several leadership positions in organized orthodontic associations.
Outside the Clinic:
- The Explorer: Carlos loves traveling to “off-the-beaten-path” destinations. If a city isn’t on a typical tourist map, he’s probably already looking to be there.
- The Sports Fan: Catch him on the pitch playing in the local soccer league or cheering faithfully for his favorite hockey teams several times a week.
- Family First: He has been happily married for 35 years and is a proud dad to two young adult daughters
